Cape d'Estaing only crafts a handful of red wines in limited quantity with outstanding quality. This wine is from the marvelous McLaren Vale wine region, renowned for its production of classic red wines.
Both Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon show great vibrant color and magnificent fruit concentration. After co-fermentation the wine was matured in seasoned French oak for over 18 months.
This wine has now developed into a dark, rich, fruit-forward wine with complex bouquet and layers of flavors. The palate is soft and very flavorsome. Like all previous vintages, it will develop gracefully in bottle but is wonderful to drink now.
