Matured in French oak for 18 months. Opaque dark red black core with a dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant infused with black olives are trailed by cedary tobacco characters and spicy dried herbs. Full bodied the palate is dripping with rich blackcurrant fruit which overlays a backdrop of black olives, tobacco, dried herbs and spicy toasted cedar. Slightly dryish finish with sturdy tannins and a medium length finish.
